More great names are packing their instruments, decks and sunglasses and heading for Benicàssim in July. Echo & The Bunnymen The legendary Echo & The Bunnymen come to FIB with a set dripping in hits like “The Killing Moon” and “The Cutter”. One of the most influential bands of the 80s when they released a string of amazing albums including debut “Crocodiles” and of course, “Ocean Rain” – a record their shy, retiring frontman Ian McCulloch described as “the greatest album ever made… when I sing “The Killing Moon” I know there isn’t a band in the world who’s got a song anywhere near that”. Band of Skulls Band Of Skulls fourth album, “By Default”, is the sound of a group on the sharpest form of their career, more engaged and focused than they’ve ever been. An album that electrifies with rock’ n’ roll cut back to its most vivid elements, expertly – sculpted three-minute bursts so unashamedly anthemic and accessible they’ll soundtrack the Festival! Dorian A huge welcome for Dorian, one of the key Spanish bands you really shouldn’t miss at FIB. A mix of new wave, electronica and indie rock, Dorian are widely and rightly considered to be one of the foremost Spanish acts at home and abroad. Find out why they’ve accumulated more than 50 million views on youtube. Breakbot Crafty ideas whipped-up in a vintage outfit with techno vibes and futuristic accelerations creating a perfectly current soundtrack. Tomorrow’s retro that they present at FIB this July. Intricate and bouncy tracks with Stevie Wonder and the Motown crowd in the background, spouts of funk and disco on a well-trodden dancefloor. Check this out… Two very different acts make their way from California to Castellón this summer. The eerie and immersive world soundtracked by The Soft Moon will pull you in with bass that reeks of chorus, unrelenting mechanized beats, wailing synthesizers and angular guitar lines that worm into your ears and never leave. Meanwhile, Tijuana Panthers will wow you with their witty, danceable fusion of surf, garage rock and punk making their Benicàssim debut. We’re also thrilled to announce that Pacosan (think lo-fi psychedelia and electronica), John Grvy (think Frank Ocean or James Blake) and DJ Maadraassoo will all be joining us for the greatest weekend of the summer!
